About Camino al Sol
Our sacred path to purpose, deeply rooted in ancient wisdom and dedicated to your transformation.
Our Roots
Welcome to Camino al Sol
In a corner of the Colombian mountains, where nature still speaks clearly and time moves more slowly, several families have lived and walked together for over twenty years with a shared purpose: to honor the teachings of yagé, coca, and tobacco as guides for remembering who we are and how to fully live this human experience.
Camino al Sol was born from this way of life, carried forward by the very families who live it - including founders like Diego, whose path is rooted in both ancestral tradition and lived experience. What we share here is not something external we collaborate with, but something we are part of.
For more than fifteen years, this path has been guided and enriched through relationships with our elders, while remaining grounded in our own community, territory, and daily practice. Alongside this, we bring modern screening, intimate group sizes, and thoughtful integration support to care for those who come.
We don’t offer a truth to follow, but a space to encounter yourself - through the land, through community, and through ceremony.

Beyond anything I expected
"Every detail was lovingly crafted, and the journey was sacred, healing, and beyond anything I expected."

Our Values
The commitments that shape how we hold this work and how we welcome people into it.
Preserving Ancestral Culture
We honor Colombia's living wisdom traditions and the Siona lineage we work with, protecting ceremony from dilution and keeping it grounded in respect, listening, and service.
Guiding Your Self-Healing
We do not offer shortcuts. We create the conditions for honest inner work through careful preparation, small groups, experienced facilitation, and integration support.
Valuing Plant Sacredness
Yage, coca, and tobacco are approached as sacred medicines, prepared and shared with reverence for their true purpose: healing, remembrance, and right relationship.
Our Philosophy
This work is about coming back to what is essential: family, truth, purpose, and a direct relationship with the earth.

Our Philosophy & Approach
Returning to life with an awakened heart
At Yaogara, spirituality is not an escape from reality. It is a way of inhabiting life with more truth, courage, and beauty.
We believe the work is not about disconnecting from pain or everyday life, but learning how to meet both with awareness, calm, and responsibility.

Guided by Our Elders
A lineage of respect, simplicity, and listening
Our work is shaped by the elders who taught us that healing begins with humility. Their guidance informs how we prepare, how we hold ceremony, and how we welcome each person who arrives here.
Camino al Sol is not a tourist attraction or an esoteric performance. It is a living territory where silence, nature, and tradition create the conditions for sincere inner work.

Impact & Community
Each journey reaches beyond the individual
The heart of this work lives in the quiet transformations we witness every day, but it does not end there. Every retreat helps sustain community projects, reforestation, and the families who continue to guard this path.
When you walk with us, you support a way of life rooted in prayer, care for the land, and the preservation of sacred knowledge for future generations.

Next Steps
We offer companionship, not formulas
We do not claim to have every answer. What we offer is a sincere place to pause, listen, and work with these medicines so you can return to everyday life more present, more conscious, and more human.
The hope is simple: that what begins here helps you become a better parent, partner, child, friend, and steward of your own life.
